Marion EMS, Marion Police respond to Wareham rollover crash

Aug 7, 2011

Marion EMS and Marion Police responded to a rollover crash on Marion Road just after 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

Three people were transported to Tobey Hospital with minor injuries following the crash.

The accident happened at the intersection of Marion Road and Swifts Beach Road.

Wareham Police Lieutenant Kevin Walsh said a white pick-up truck turned onto Marion Road from Swifts Beach Road and collided with a black sedan that was traveling in the direction of Town Hall.

A black sedan, flipped onto its roof by the impact of the crash, and a white pick-up truck created a devastating and confusing scene as debris were strewn into the road.

The driver of the pick-up was cited for "failure to use care" when pulling onto Marion Road, Walsh said.

Wareham Police, Wareham Fire, and Wareham EMS responded to the scene. Marion EMS and Police contributed mutual aid.
