Joan M. (Lindsay) Jason, 84 of Mattapoisett died November 6 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.

She was the wife of the late Donald C. Jason.

Born in Fairhaven, the daughter of the late William A. and Mae (Dobson) Lindsay, she lived in Mattapoisett most of her life.

Mrs. Jason was a active member of the Mattapoisett Congregational Church.

She and her late husband owned and published the Presto Press for 43 years.

Mrs. Jason was a member of the Mattapoisett Womens Club and several Mattapoisett bowling leagues. She enjoyed family gatherings and holidays, was an avid reader, enjoyed playing bridge with her bridge group, cheering for the Patriots, and peaceful days at Ned's Point by the ocean.

Survivors include a niece, Sharon Hartley and her husband Greenwood Hartley, III of Rochester; a nephew, David Young and his wife Janet of Fairhaven; several great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Audrey Reuter and Jean O'Malley.
