Here’s how to vote early for the Nov. 3 election in the Tri-Town

Sep 29, 2020

Ahead of the Nov. 3 general election, Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester are all offering early voting in person or by mail.

For in-person voting, residents are required to wear a face mask and encouraged to bring a black or blue pen.

For voting by mail, fill out the state’s vote by mail application (sec.state.ma.us/ele/elepdf/2020-Vote-by-Mail-Application.pdf) and deliver it to your respective Town Clerk office. Applications can also be submitted online through the state’s online ballot application system (sec.state.ma.us/VoterRegistrationSearch/preface.aspx.)  Before submitting, verify your voter registration information. If you need to make changes to your registration, update your information at registertovoteMA.com

Additionally, residents can drop their absentee ballots in the drop boxes located at their respective town halls. Make sure to drop your ballot in your respective town’s drop box and not in another town. Find out where each town’s drop box is located here.

Applications can be accepted until Oct. 28, but the state recommends voters get their applications in by Oct. 20.
