Robert S. Marvelle, 59, of Mattapoisett, died Tuesday, November 29, at home. He was the husband of Donna J. (Supple) Marvelle.

Born in Attleboro, the son of Mary (Long) Marvelle of Wareham and the late Richard Marvelle, he lived on Cape Cod before moving to Mattapoisett in 2005.

Mr. Marvelle was the proprietor of Excavation Plus and had worked in the excavation business all of his life.

He was a devoted loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Marvelle enjoyed the beach, boating, trips to Foxwoods and the company of his dog Maggie. He was a member of the Northeast Friesian Horse Club.

Survivors include his wife; his mother; 2 sons, Brandon Marvelle of Mattapoisett and Michael Marvelle of Littleton, MA; 2 daughters, Christine Marvelle of New Hampshire and Lindsay Migala of Chelmsford; a stepson, Thomas Morse of Vermont; a sister, Paula Pembroke of Attleboro; and many nieces and nephews.

His Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, December 17th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. followed by his Memorial Service at 8 p.m. in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett.
