Here are the winners for Rochester Lions Club’s house decorating contest

ROCHESTER — Covid cancelled many holiday traditions in the Tri-Town this year, but out of it came a new one. The Rochester Lion’s Club hosted its first-ever house decorating contest.

“We’ve had to get really creative with covid this year,” Club President Justin Gallagher said.

The contest, sponsored by Wayne Electric and Security in Fairhaven, tested residents abilities in different ways.

The club gave out prizes for those who placed: First prize was $100 for the most original, Second prize was $75 for the most lights, 3rd prize was $50 for simple and stylish and a $20 honorable mention was also given.

The winners are as follows:

First prize: Liz MacDonald
Second prize: Troy Jacques
Third prize: Mr. Roland Dufresne & Ms. Julianne Lemlin-Dufresne
Honorable mention: Emily & Rudy Dori
