Wareham art contest accepting Tri-Town submissions
Tri-Town kids are eligible to participate in the Dog Park Affiliation of Wareham’s “Unleash the PAWsibilities” youth creative contests this summer.
The contests are open to area kids ages 5 to 18.
This year’s contest has two themes: “Animals, Our COVID Companions Year 2” and “Celebrating the end of quarantine with our animal friends.”
Area residents in art and literary fields will judge the contests. Winners from three age groups in the visual and literary categories receive trophies. All those who submit work are entered into a prize pool raffle. Those who enter both contests double their chances in the raffle. An outdoor family celebration is being planned for mid August. A gallery of all submissions will be at the Wareham Post Office for a month and Wareham Community Television on demand.
Contest submissions are accepted from July 6 through Aug. 6. Submission sites are at Decas School’s Cafeteria/Summer Lunch Program entrance, Wareham Free Library, Onset Bay Association, Music of the Bay, Buzzards Bay and the Soule Homestead's Little Library House in Middleboro. Addresses and hours of operation, as well as contest details, tips & registration forms can be found at warehamdogpark.org.
If you are unable to print the registration form, include the requested information on the back of the submission. Direct any questions can be sent to sammorrison@comcast.net.
