Mattapoisett Library hosts 'Live Independently' Seminar

Jan 24, 2012

Attention caregivers and seniors! Are you caring for an elder, or will you possibly be caring for an elder in the future? Are you over 60? There is a special concern when people need assistance but there is a limit to what insurance will pay.

Did you know there are options to help people to continue living independently? Issues that will be discussed will include, but not limited to, concerns regarding: health, residence needs, insurance, transitioning from hospital stay to home, dealing with insurance, services, assistive devices, home modifications.

Not sure what the future holds? No one does, so don’t wait until something happens! Learn what’s available now, so it will be easier for you to find resources in the future.

Don’t miss the free informational meeting on Wednesday, February 1 at 6:00 p.m. at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library, 7 Barstow Street, Mattapoisett. Please proceed to the meeting room on the lower level, which is accessible by stairs and an elevator.

For more information, please call Jackie at the Mattapoisett Council on Aging at 508-758-4110. In the event of inclement weather, please listen to WBSM AM 1420.
