Busy summer set at Taber Library
MARION — The Elizabeth Taber Library, 8 Spring St., is hosting several upcoming events.
The summer reading program is underway. Participants must sign up at the library and will receive a summer reading kit, including reading logs, badge, stickers, and a reading buddy.
Participants should return their reading logs to win prizes and help raise money for Heifer International.
Mr. Vinny the Bubble Guy will entertain at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 30 with giant bubble creating and popping. This program is sponsored by federal funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
Author Alec Carvlin will present an interactive reading of his picture book, “How to Bake a Universe,” at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12. Cosmic crafts will be created inspired by the story.
