Marion town-wide clean up May 12
Marion’s annual town-wide Spring Clean-up will be on Saturday, May 12, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Headquarters will be at the Music Hall, where participants can find refreshments, safety vests, gloves, trash bags, and their street assignments.
This event partners with Gifts to Give of New Bedford, who will be collecting used goods including clothing, toys, and books at their large truck across the road at Island Wharf.
The main sponsors for the day are the Marion Tree and Parks Committee, the Sippican Lands Trust, the Department of Public Works, the Marion Natural History Museum, the Sippican Historical Society, the Marion Garden Group, and Lockheed Martin. Refreshments will be provided by Harriet’s, Uncle Jon’s, and Rose and Vicki’s.
There will be new kids-sized safety vests, donated by Spirits, Benoit & McArdle P.C., American Research & Management, 163 Offices, Edward Jones Investments, Marion, and Saltonstall Architects.
