Car flips onto side on Route 6 at Mattapoisett-Fairhaven town line

By approximately 4:30 p.m., the car was loaded on to a tow truck.
MATTAPOISETT — An overturned car on Route 6 near the Mattapoisett-Fairhaven town line brought traffic to a halt on Thursday, April 20.
Police and Fire Departments from Fairhaven and Mattapoisett responded to the scene at approximately 4 p.m.
The car was on its side in the front yard of 147 Fairhaven Road. Ambulances responded to the scene but it is unknown if anyone was seriously injured.
By approximately 4:30 p.m. the vehicle was being loaded on to a tow truck. Its roof had been detached by first responders.
Both the Mattapoisett Fire and Police departments did not respond to multiple requests for comment as of Tuesday, April 25.
