Tri-Town residents are invited to get their boating certificate with two eight-hour boating classes hosted by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 6-3.

Those who take the classes will learn navigation, boating law, boat safety, handling emergencies and other important skills for being out on the water.

When they complete the class, boaters will receive a U.S. Coast Guard boating certificate.

The classes will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 6 and Saturday, June 3 at the West Wareham Fire House #2, 2368 Cranberry Highway.
