MARION — The Marion Council on Aging is hosting a community town hall supporting dementia on Monday, Nov. 13 at 5 p.m. The event will be held at the Benjamin D. Cushing Community Center at 465 Mill Street, Marion.

According to a press release from the town of Marion, it is projected that by the year 2025, an estimated 150,000 Massachusetts residents will be living with Alzheimer's, which does not account for those with other types of dementia.

The Marion Council on Aging is looking to educate, offer training, and respite for the caregiver as it pertains to dementia by seeking input from members of the community. The council looks to identify shortcomings and gaps in services that are available. All attendees are invited to share stories and address needs.

A light meal will be served.

Call 508-748-3570 or email kgregory@marionma.gov to register or with any comments, suggestions or questions. Transportation can be arranged at that time as well.
