An Introduction to Hypnosis

Join the Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries on Thursday, September 26, at 6:00 p.m. for an introduction to hypnosis presentation with local hypnotist John Barboza. Audience members will learn about the practice and benefits of hypnosis as well as the myths, fallacies, truths, and misconceptions of hypnotism. The program will include a demonstration of the hypnosis process and will be held at Southworth Library in South Dartmouth.
John Barboza is a board-certified consulting hypnotist who helps people with ordinary, everyday problems, like nail biting, stress eating, nicotine dependence, and public speaking. He is also a certified instructor who teaches and certifies students to become professional hypnotists. Mr. Barboza is a local self-published author of two books, Barboza’s Book of Hypnotic Inductions and Hypnosis Inductions Dissected. He also produces a New Bedford cable access TV program, Hypnotism 101, on Channel 95 which can also be viewed on his YouTube channel called Life Enriching Hypnosis. Mr. Barboza received his basic and advanced hypnosis certification from the Whole Life Mastery Hypnosis School of Hypnotic Arts in New Jersey and is a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists, the oldest and largest hypnosis organization in the world. His practice, Life Enriching Hypnosis, is located in New Bedford where Mr. Barboza has been a life-long resident.
