Sign up for Buzzards Bay Coalition’s Watershed Ride

Sep 29, 2024

There are two weeks remaining to sign up for the Buzzards Bay Coalition’s 18th Watershed Ride.

The ride will be held on Sunday, Oct. 6.

Three routes are available ranging from 35 to 100 miles. The 35 mile course will take bikers through Rochester, Wareham and Bourne.

All routes finish with a festive celebration in Woods Hole including beer, live music and food trucks.

There will be four water stops with snacks to ensure safe participation.

“The Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride is not just a fun community event—it’s a critical fundraiser for the protection and restoration of Buzzards Bay,” read a press release. “Each rider is asked to raise a minimum of $300, with the funds raised going toward the Coalition’s efforts to safeguard the bay’s ecosystem through scientific research, land protection, advocacy, and outdoor exploration programs.

This year, an anonymous group of Marion residents are matching every dollar raised by “The Sippican Sailors,” one of the teams in the event.

Join or donate to the team by visiting savebuzzardsbay.org/ride and searching for Sippican Sailors.

There is a $65 registration fee for the ride.
