Friday, July 11

Youth Concert

The Marion Concert Band is hosting a Young People’s Concert on Friday, July 11 at 7 p.m. at the bandstand on Island Wharf. The concert will include an opportunity for kids in the audience to play rhythm instruments with the band and hear Disney and Pixar tunes.

Saturday, July 12

Rochester Historical Society bake sale

The Rochester Historical Society’s Bake Sale & Raffles will be on Saturday, July 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. rain or shine.

The sale will be by the sunken garden in George’s Pony Pasture located on Mattapoisett Road. There will be bake sale signs to follow. Attendees will be able to enjoy the garden while shopping.

Tuesday, July 15

Taste the Town

Grab a fork and join the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club’s annual Taste of the Town event on Tuesday, July 15 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The event will be under the tent in Shipyard Park. Participants can eat creations from local restaurants, roam the village area, and discover the historic wharves that are part of the Park.

A free shuttle bus service will pick up attendees from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Church and the Mattapoisett Town Beach.

Wednesday, July 16

Butterfly walk

Join the Marion Natural History Museum for a free butterfly walk on Wednesday, July 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Nasketucket State Park in Mattapoisett.

Participants will learn about butterflies and moths with guide Andrew Griffith of the Massachusetts Butterfly Association. Attendees must register online at www.marionmuseum.org.
