Art in Bloom Events

Through Wednesday, June 23| Pick your Piece of Art
All are invited to participate! Visit the MAC galleries to view the current show, Willoughby Elliott: A Retrospective. Choose one of the works on display to inspire your artistic floral creation. There will be only one designer or design team per artwork - be sure to check with MAC staff when selecting your inspirational artwork. Designers may use any available MAC pedestals for displaying arrangements but are encouraged to bring their own unique stand of appropriate size and height. Eden Florist of Marion, a supporter of many MAC productions, is a great place for sourcing materials! All arrangements should be delivered to the Marion Art Center on Thursday, June 24 by 12:00pm.

Thursday, June 24, 10:00am-12:30pm | Floral Watercolor Workshop
Join a watercolor painting workshop in the MAC Studio with artist Peggy Call-Conley. The cost is $50 for MAC members and $60 for nonmembers. Participants can view the unique arrangements on display in the MAC galleries after the workshop. Find out more and register online here.

Thursday, June 24, 6:00-8:00pm | Opening Night Featuring the Flower Cart
Visit the Marion Art Center for the opening night viewing for Art in Bloom. See creative floral arrangements inspired by the works by Willoughby Elliott, on display in the MAC galleries. During the reception, guests can purchase a small bouquet or stems from the Flower Cart by David Gregory Flowers, a mobile flower shop, on site at the MAC.

Friday, June 25, 10:00am-3:00pm | Marion Garden Tour
The Marion Garden Group presents Secret Gardens of Marion, a tour of eight stunning gardens in Marion. It is a one day event, rain or shine and open to the public. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 on the day. The tour begins at Bicentennial Park, 1 Spring Street, Marion, MA (across the street from the MAC) where you can pick up your garden map any time after 10:00am. The map is your ticket into the gardens and will be checked off at each location by a greeter. Participants can preorder a box lunch from Kate’s Simple Eats, which one can enjoy at the many public outdoor seating areas noted on the map, including the MAC lawn and patio. To purchase tickets, visit the Marion Garden Group's website here. The MAC galleries will be open 10:00am-5:00pm on Friday, and Garden Tour participants are encouraged to visit Art in Bloom @ the MAC after the tour.
