Mar 29, 2022

“Godspell’’ returns to the Old Rochester Regional High School stage April 7 to 10, 25 years after the musical was last performed at the school.

The performance is presented by the Old Rochester Regional High School Drama Club.

This year’s cast includes Max Tucker, Calder Eaton, Chloe Bean, Breigh Christopher, Kathleen Dunn, Molly Dupre, Sakurako Huynh-Aoyama, Nico Parker, Tyler Trudeau and Emily Wyman.

Maxx Domingos and Sarah Whinnem are directing. The musical director is Michael Barnicle, and the costume designer is Maria Lynch.

Some familiar faces are returning for the silver anniversary. John Farrell, a performer in the 1997 production who has since become a noted sound designer and engineer, will return to coordinate sound and assist students with the recently-installed soundboard.

Beth Rose, who also performed on stage in 1997, will be returning as a musician in the orchestra pit. Nico Parker, Beth’s daughter, will be playing the part of Lamar this time around.

Performances will be held at 7 p.m. on April 7, 8 and 9, and at 2 p.m. on April 10.

Tickets are $12 for students and senior citizens, $15 for general admission. Tickets can be purchased at Marion General Store, Pen & Pendulum and Friends’ Marketplace.
