Mattapoisett firemen, police, and EMS were all called to multiple scenes on Thursday as inclement weather moved into the area.

Fire Chief Andrew Murray said there was a single car accident on I-195 around 7:30 a.m. While it was reported that there was a possible ejection from the vehicle, the driver was not thrown from the car. Murray said the driver sustained minor injuries.

Later in the morning, a vehicle turned over after the driver exited the roadway and hit a telephone pole on Brandt Island Road, said Murray. The driver was taken to Tobey Hospital for treatment.

Murray said the firemen were also called for a fire alarm and three downed wires.

“It was a pretty busy day for us,” said Murray.
