After school program ships out to Bird Island

On May 6, kids in the Marion Natural History Museum’s afterschool program again traveled to Bird Island this year. With assistance from the Marion Harbormaster’s office, students learned about the history of the site, the importance of the island’s endangered tern population, and toured the lighthouse.
