The 19th annual Marion Village 5K takes place on Saturday, June 27 starting at 9 a.m. Race applications are available online at www.jbrace.com where runners may also register.

Applications can also be obtained in the Marion Post Office or by calling 508-241-6182. Many local businesses are financial sponsors for the race, and the race committee is still soliciting prizes, services and gift certificates. All proceeds will benefit youth recreation programs in Marion. The race starts and finishes on Front Street at Tabor Academy. The entry fee is $15 until June 20 and $20 afterwards.

Prize money is offered to the top three men and women finishers and merchandise or gift certificates are awarded to the top 10 men and women in the race. Runners in the 13 and under age group will receive certificates for free ice cream from Kool Kone. There is also a post race raffle open to all competitors. Drinks, fruit, bagels and pizza will be available for runners and walkers at the end of the race.
