Art Center to host pumpkin carving event

MARION — The Marion Art Center will host a day of pumpkin carving and free face painting on its lawn on Sat. Oct 19.
Attendees of all ages and abilities can bring pumpkins and carving tools to work from noon to 2 p.m. The art center will provide hot cider, doughnuts and face painting from 12:30 to 1:30.
Participants should dress for the outdoors, and may dress in costumes. A rain date for both carving and face painting is scheduled for Oct. 20 from noon to 2 p.m.
