MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Congregational Church will hold its annual homecoming on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 10 a.m.

All are invited to celebrate in worship with a Blessing of the Backpacks for students returning to school. Children are encouraged to bring their backpacks to church.

Representatives from the police and fire departments will be recognized for their service to the community.

After the 10 a.m. worship there will be games for children, registration for Sunday school and ice cream on the lawn.

The service will be held at 27 Church Street.
