Renovation to the exterior of the Mattapoisett beach house at Town Beach is expected to begin as early as next week, Town Administrator Mike Gagne said at the Selectmen’s Tuesday night meeting. AAA Royal Construction of Braintree was the low bidder at $63,600 out of eight companies who submitted proposals.

“It will be quite a facelift for the bathhouse,” said Selectman Paul Silva. “It won’t look like a bunker anymore.”
