'Beyond the White Sharks' program March 6
Feb 12, 2015
Dr. Tom Burns has photographed sharks for more than 20 years and his pursuit of shark encounters has taken him around the world.
On Friday, March 6, Burns will present “Beyond the White Sharks” in the Marion Natural History Museum from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
His research focuses on the mako shark, basking shark, porbeagles and the rare hammerhead and tiger sharks.
Beyond the species profiles, Burns will give the audience background on how he dives, photographs and interacts with these different species.
The presentation will include some of Burns’s photographs, which have been published in numerous magazines.
The cost for the program is a $6 donation to the museum.
