The Marion  Harbormaster’s Office is hosting a boating safety course at the Marion Police Station this spring. Participants need to attend two consecutive Saturday classes. The first offering is May 13 and May 20 and the second offering is June 3 and June 10.

All graduates ages 12-15 will be issued a safety certificate allowing them to operate a motorboat without adult supervision. The same is true for graduates ages 16-17 who wish to operate a personal watercraft such as a  jet ski.

All classes are free of charge and for anyone age 12 and up. Class size is limited. Register by calling 508-748-3535.
