Boy Scout to hold Dog Walk-A-Thon Parade

Boy Scout Freemin Bauer of Mattapoisett will hold a Dog Walk-A-Thon Parade on Saturday, Aug. 27 for his Eagle Scout project.
The rain or shine event begins at 8 a.m. and ends at noon and people without dogs are welcome to participate.
It costs $20 to walk up to two dogs. The price includes a T-shirt. Those without a pet dog can walk for $10 and $15 with a T-shirt.
There will be two routes, one for large dogs and one for small dogs. All proceeds benefit the Fairhaven Dog Shelter. Poop bags will be provided.
There is no running allowed and wheels, such as skateboards and rollerblades, are prohibited. Pull back leashes are also not allowed, though all dogs must be leashed.
Baby carriages are allowed.
