Boy Scouts and Lions help assemble meal kits

Dec 16, 2019

ROCHESTER —  Lions Club members and other community volunteers joined forces with Boy Scouts and Troop 31 leaders on Sunday Dec. 15 for their Christmas Holiday Dinner program.

Christmas dinner bags include a turkey, fresh vegetables or potatoes, onions, butternut squash and the rest of the fixings, from gravy, corn and green beans to stuffing and dessert mix. Volunteers packed 68 bags, and readied them for delivery.

The Rochester Lions Club works all year to raise the funds to provide these holiday meals at Thanksgiving and Christmas to area seniors and families in need.
