Brad Morse re-elected to Rochester Selectmen
Incumbent Brad Morse will hold another three-year term as Selectman after besting Michael Murphy in the only contested race of Rochester's annual Town Election, held Wednesday.
Morse received 246 votes compared to 160 for Murphy.
Morse has already served on the Board of Selectmen for nine years. At a recent forum for candidates Morse said, “It’s important to serve your community. I take a very active role on the board. I have a strong understanding of all the financial constraints on the town.”
Murphy, who served a term as a Selectman about 20 years ago, will continue to hold his seat on the town's Planning Board.
The remaining candidates all ran uncontested for their respective positions. The results are as follows:
