MARION — The Marion Art Center is calling for artistic entries for an approaching members’ show.

The Summer Members’ Show begins Thursday, Aug. 15 with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. and will run until Sept. 20.

All Marion Art Center members are invited to enter up to two pieces each for the “traditionally well-attended show.”

Works must be original, executed by the artist within the past five years and must not have been previously shown at the Marion Art Center. Works in poor condition, including the frame, or that are not properly prepared for installation will not be exhibited.

To exhibit, members should drop off artwork at the Marion Art Center, 80 Pleasant St, on Saturday, Aug. 10 between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or Tuesday, Aug. 13 between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A contract can be downloaded at marionartcenter.org/on-exhibit. Artists have the option of listing their work for sale.
