Carols fill halls of Sippican Health Care Center

Fifteen members of Old Rochester Regional High School’s Student Council and two faculty advisors spread holiday cheer at the Sippican Health Care Center Tuesday, Dec. 9.
With songbooks in hand and holiday attire donned, students from all four high school classes sang Christmas carols to residents.
Student Council president Matt Fortin said the group went caroling because, “One of our goals as Student Council is to make our community a better place to be in. Our caroling was a way to spread joy in our community and have fun!”
Though the group did not have much practice singing, everyone enjoyed the experience. The carolers walked around the building, singing in both main meeting areas for large gatherings and in individual rooms for smaller audiences.
In their hour-long concert, the carolers performed a medley of popular songs. To wrap up their tour, the singers joined a guest karaoke performer in an assembly room for a Christmas sing-along.
