Catherine V. (McDonald) Haley, 93, died Saturday, January 7 at Sippican Health Care Center in Marion after a long illness. She was the wife of the late David N. Haley.

Born in Quincy, she was the daughter of the late James J. & Margaret A. (Donlon) McDonald. Mrs. Haley graduated from Quincy High School and then from Bridgewater State College in 1940. She was a third grade teacher at the Center School in Mattapoisett.

She is survived by two sons, David Haley and his wife Patty of Winter Park, FL and James Haley and his wife Eileen of Wareham; her daughter, Margaret DePippio and her husband Michael of Swampscott; 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and several nieces.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January, 11 in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Mattapoisett at 10:00 am. Visiting hours have been omitted.
