Celebrate Earth Day
Ruby Pasquill from Emerald Heirloom Farm will discuss sustainable living and simple changes that can be made to lessen one’s impact on the environment during a drop-in event from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 22 at Mattapoisett Museum, 5 Church St. A compost bottle activity will be featured. Hit the beach
Go beachcombing and seining with Sippican Lands Trust at 10 a.m. Friday, April 22 at Brainard Marsh Beach, Marion. For more information, visit sippicanlandstrust.org.

Rochester clean-up
The Rochester Women's Club will be hosting a townwide clean-up from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 23.
Rochester residents are encouraged to start the day with a stop at the club headquarters, 37 Marion Road, to pick up trash bags and get a street assignment or let club members know what area they would like to clean.For more information, contact Marsha at (508) 322-0998.
Sunday, April 24
Cat, dog rabies clinic
A cat and dog rabies clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday, April 24 at the old Mattapoisett Fire Station, 26 County Road.
The fee is $15 per animal. The event is open to all people from all communities.
Licensing will also be available for Mattapoisett pets. Cats must be in carriers and dogs must be leashed.

Diverse families celebrated
Tri-Town Against Racism and the Mattapoisett Museum have partnered to bring a new photo exhibit for the month of May. An opening exhibit will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 26.
Nineteen portraits of diverse families living in the Tri-Town and beyond will be on exhibit to showcase the rich diversity of family and the love that binds them together. For more information, visit mattapoisettmuseum.org.
