Colleen Calise, 51

Colleen P. (Gauvin) Calise, 51, of Mattapoisett died Oct. 19 peacefully at Tobey Hospital.

She was the wife of Stephen W. Calise.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Bernard and Nancy (Hawes) Gauvin, she lived in Mattapoisett all of her life.

Colleen was a communicant and former CCD teacher at St. Anthony’s Church in Mattapoisett.

She was employed as a licensed practical nurse at Bedford Village Nursing Home for many years, a job that she truly loved.

Colleen enjoyed spending time with her sons, camping and hiking.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Bedford Village Nursing Home and Cape Cod Express for their support.

Survivors include her husband; her parents; three sons, Taran Calise, Colin Calise and Alex Calise, all of Mattapoisett; two brothers, Mark Gauvin and his wife Kathy of Mattapoisett and Scott Gauvin and his wife Janet of Rochester; a sister, Joann Price and her husband Jim of Mattapoisett; her beloved cousin, Lorry Barry of Mattapoisett; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Her memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony’s Church. Visiting hours are omitted. Arrangements are with Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Road, Route 6, Mattapoisett.
