Construction work to begin in Marion

MARION — The Marion Department of Public Works will begin road work in four areas on Monday, Oct. 5.

The construction work will be on Point Road, from West Drive to Delano Road; Spring Street, from the Old Landing Cemetery to the fire station; Water Street, from Main Street to South Street and the entirety of Sparrow Lane.

A temporary traffic detour may be implemented. Drivers should expect delays and follow all traffic signs and police directions.

The work will end by the week of Oct. 12, although the schedule is subject to weather changes and unforeseen circumstances.
