Date set for annual Pumpkin Palooza

MARION — The second annual Pumpkin Palooza will be held at the Benjamin Cushing Community Center in Marion, 465 Mill Street, on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Pumpkins and pumpkin-carving tools will be provided and participants can help create a lighted pumpkin display along Route 6 for Halloween weekend. Participants can also bring their own carved pumpkin to add to the display.
Pre-registration is required for a pumpkin. To register, call 508-748-3570.
The Pumpkin Palooza will have music, refreshments from the Oxford Creamery Oxcart, yard games, face painting, a petting zoo, balloon animals and goody bags. Costumes are encouraged.
The event is co-sponsored by the Marion Recreation Department and the Marion Council on Aging. Participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to a food pantry.
