The Old Rochester Regional School Committee unanimously approved a request to plant a memorial tree at the high school in honor of Dana Dourdeville.

Dourdeville, an alum of ORR and engineering student at Brown University, went missing during a solo duck hunting drip on Dec. 31. His body was later found in East Falmouth.

The 21-year-old was a top student and athlete during his time at ORR.

Dourdeville’s parents requested the tree in his honor, which the young man’s former coach, Bill Tilden, would like to put in the area of the track.
