Elizabeth Taber Library schedules spooky events for October

Oct 9, 2019

MARION — The Elizabeth Taber Library has scheduled a blood drive, Halloween costume 3D printing session and more events for this month.

It will hold the blood drive on Oct. 10 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Benjamin D. Cushing Community Center. Visit redcrossblood.org and enter “MARION” to schedule an appointment.

On Oct. 17 the library will let patrons design and 3D print parts of their costumes. That event will last from 3 to 5 p.m.

The library will have a Halloween party on Oct. 30, also from 3 to 5 p.m. with book crafts, spooky stories and treats. Patrons who are interested in exploring the paranormal before that can check out Taber Library’s ghost hunting kit. The library also now has hot spots available to check out.

This month’s memoir-writing workshop will be Oct. 17 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The mystery thriller book club read for Nov. 6 at 11 a.m. will be The Secret History by Donna Tartt.

The Library is also seeking volunteers for its Board of Trustees. Contact the library for more information.
