The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov is a drama (or dramedy) that examines the prevailing class structure of Chekhov's Russia. As Ranevskaya struggles to deal with the realities of losing her family estate, her daughters Anya and Varya choose their own ways to deal with the big changes ahead of them. Meanwhile their neighbor, Lopakhin, tries to solve everyone's problems with new money and new ideas.
An informal talkback is scheduled on Thursday, March 21, following the production. This is a special opportunity for the audience to discuss the play with the director and the actors.
