Fall programs at the Taber Library

Aug 17, 2017

Rent a bike, discuss movies, learn to write your own memoir, or rent a pass to a local history museum, zoo or aquarium this fall at the Taber Library.

Monday Movie and Conversation

Visit the library on Mondays through September at 1 p.m. for a documentary that might spark some discussion afterwards.

Bike Lending Program

The library is continuing its bike lending program for adults through the fall. Library patrons (18 and over) can check out a bicycle and helmet for three days with a Marion library card. Patrons will need to provide a library card and license, as well as sign a waiver form before taking the bike out for a spin. For more information, visit the library or call 508-748-1252.

Memoir Writing Workshops

Memoir Writing 101: Thursdays, September 7 - October 5, 2-4 p.m.

Everyone has a story to tell. Here’s your chance to get it on paper and share with your family. This five-week introductory workshop is free to the public and will be led by Al Caron and Linda Schuessler. Participants will write segments about their life and read them aloud to others to receive feedback on each piece.

Memoir Writing 102: Tuesdays, September 12 - October 3, 2-4 p.m.

For those that have already taken Memoir Writing 101, this four-week workshop will build upon the writing skills learned in Memoir Writing 101.

Registration is required. Call 508-748-1252 to reserve a spot.
