MARION— Massachusetts state troopers responded to a rollover crash Route 195 west in Marion that resulted in a fatality on Monday, April 3.

According to state trooper Brandon Doherty, the driver, William Gronblom of New Bedford was transported to  St. Luke’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

According to Doherty, the vehicle was headed west bound when “it drifted off the left side of the road into the grass median and struck a concrete support section of the overpass.” 

Doherty said that the cause of the crash remains under investigation by troopers from the State Police-Bourne Barracks, the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the Crime Scene Services Section.

“No further information is available at this time,” said Doherty.
