Fellowship Dinner and Service of Tenebrae
Story Location:

On Maundy Thursday, March 28th, Community Baptist Church of Marion will host a fellowship dinner starting at 6:30 pm. Following the meal a stirring Service of Tenebrae, commemorating the arrest, crucifixion and death of Christ will be conducted. The word ‘tenebrae’ is Latin for shadows. The purpose of the Tenebrae service is to deepen our understanding of the events of Holy Week, The service consists of scripture readings from the Gospels, solemn music and communion. The service is conducted by candlelight and ends in darkness. For many of our church members this service has deep meaning and they would like to share this experience with you. All are welcome to attend the service itself which begins at 7:30 pm. If you wish to come for dinner at 6:30 pm., it would be helpful if we knew you would be joining us. Please call the pastor, Rev. Diane Badger at 508-369-6291 or by email at diane.badger@comcast.net
