The Marion Fireworks Committee has raised about $30,000 so far for this year’s Fourth of July fireworks display. That’s about $20,000 short of their goal, however $4,000 of that was raised just over the weekend.

The Twenty From Many campaign was launched in March, and intended to solicit $20 from each person who had enjoyed the fireworks in the past.

The deadline for the $50,000 is May 15.

Last year's fireworks were canceled because the committee received only $13,000 in donations.
