Five new covid cases between Rochester Memorial School and Old Rochester Regional High School were reported by the Old Rochester Regional School District on Jan. 4, bringing the district’s total to 90. 

Four of the new cases were found in ORRHS, with the remaining case at Rochester Memorial School. 

All schools will continue to operate as normal following the cases. 

The positive individual from Rochester Memorial was last in school on Dec. 23. The positive individuals from ORRHS were last in school on Dec. 23 and 26. 

No further information is known about those who tested positive, including whether the positive individuals are students, faculty or staff. 

Contact tracing for the cases is ongoing. Close contacts will be contacted by their respective Boards of Health and expected to quarantine in accordance with state guidelines.
