MATTAPOISETT — The Old Rochester Regional School District will have a new Human Resources Manager this year, starting on Monday, Aug. 25.

Sarah George graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in human resources management and spent several years working in human resources with a focus on hospitality on Cape Cod.

“I’ve had the opportunity to lead hiring efforts for hundreds of employees, both local and international, and truly enjoy creating welcoming, supportive environments where people can thrive,” she said.

George, who lives in Sandwich, said she’s eager to get started.

“I’m looking forward to getting to know the staff and community and working to support the district’s mission, our students and our team,” she said.

According to Superintendent Michael Nelson, George’s “passion for recruitment and cultivating a healthy and enjoyable workplace environment” will be “invaluable skills” to have as she takes on the new role.
