Frederick E. Tomkiewicz, 88

Frederick E. Tomkiewicz, 88, of Carver, left the Earth and God has called him home to rest on May 6, 2021.  

Fred was a hard worker, loved life and took pride in working on his home and yards. He was married for forty years to his wife, Patricia (Brienzo) Tomkiewicz, since May of 1981.  

He was born in Acushnet and lived in Rochester before moving to Carver.

Fred was a Navy Veteran, serving on the USS Vulcan AR5 and the USS Briareus AR12. .

Fred was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Angelina (Kosiba) Tomkiewicz, 3 siblings, his son, Fred Jr., his grandson, Taylor and 2 sons-in-law, John Brightman and Paul Reusch, Jr. 

Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Brienzo) Tomkiewicz; his three children and was much loved by his stepchildren, Joanne Brightman, Norman Boudreau and his wife Angela, Nicole Reusch and companion Mark Leone.  He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Dallas, Justin, Hunter, Nicholas and his wife, Jennifer and their children Morgan, Nicholas and Brady and a brother.

He owned Tomkiewicz Marine Blacksmith for 33 years and also worked at Blue Fleet welding for 17 years.

He enjoyed his retirement for many years and since then was able to do the things he loved. Rest in Peace, God be with you Fred.
