Freezin' for a Reason Polar Plunge on New Year's Day
Cancer survivor William Huggins knows firsthand how helpful it is to receive funds while receiving treatment. Huggins is beyond thankful to the many kind souls that reached out to his family during what was a very stressful time.
In an effort to give back some of the love and support received, the Huggins family, and I WILL team, are hosting the third annual Freezin’ for a Reason Polar Plunge on New Year’s Day at noon at Mattapoisett Town Beach. Plunge alone or form a team.
Plungers are encouraged to collect pledges and turn them in on the day of the plunge. All proceeds from the event are distributed to local families struggling with the hidden costs of cancer care such as parking fees, gas and childcare.
Creative dress is encouraged, with a trophy awarded to the best costumed team.
Printable pledge forms can be found at: Facebook.com/FreezinForAReasonMA, or donate electronically at Gofundme.com/FreezinInPoi. More information on I WILL can be found at Facebook.com/IWillHuggins.
