MATTAPOISET —  The Friends of the Mattapoisett Council on Aging will host Fall Luncheon on Thursday, Sept. 12 starting at noon.

Seniors and members of the Friends of Mattapoisett COA, will share hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries and ice cream. There will be door prizes and a 50/50 raffle.

Attendees should bring a canned good or other non-perishable item for the local food pantries or school supplies to donate to the Mattapoisett schools.

The Friends will also be selling raffle tickets to win a wheelbarrow filled with garden supplies, plants, vegetables and other surprises. Tickers are 6 for $5 or 1 for $1, and can be purchased at the luncheon. 

There will be a guest speaker from the Health Department, who will go over recycling. Seniors may also bring in a sample of an item that they have questions on.
