The newly formed Friends of Marion Recreation Soccer is raising funds to purchase new soccer nets for league teams.

The nets cost $2,800, and to cover the expense the Friends will host a raffle drawing where the winner may choose between either a free week of soccer camp or the Silvershell Summer Program.

Cost of the drawing is $5 per ticket or a book of five for $20. The winner will be announced at the end of the Health Fair sponsored by the Recreation Department on March 26.

Tickets may be purchased at the Recreation Department, 13 Atlantis Drive, at the Town House Conservation office or by mailing a check to Jill Pitman at the Atlantis Drive office.

The winner will have the choice of a free week of Challenger Soccer Camp at Dexter Field in Rochester from July 25 to 29 (a value of $188) or a week of camp at the Silvershell Summer Program (a $175 value).
