After a scoreless second period, Brendan Burke got the go-ahead goal on a breakaway in the third period, but the Coyotes tied it up and then moved ahead. Later that same day the Mite 1 team beat Plymouth in a half-ice game in Falmouth. Kaden Schultz played goalie for the first time at this higher level and was assisted by the swarming defense that kept Plymouth to single digits. Lucas DeMoranville was awarded the game puck for his marked improvement in all-around play.

Bryan Gallagher had three assists from defense.
Squirts 2: Sharks
The Gateway Sharks and the Lower Cape Coyotes played 50 minutes of scoreless hockey Sunday. Despite the best efforts of the Shark forward, the team was unable to put one in the goal. Fortunately, a solid performance by the defenseman, combined with the stellar play of goalie Thomas Galavotti, the Sharks were able to prevent the Coyotes from scoring as well, securing a rare 0-0 tie.
PeeWee Gladiators
The Gateway Gladiators were celebrating the holidays early with its first win in December, defeating the Lower Cape Coyotes 4-1 Sunday at Hetland. Playing from behind once again, Tyler Lovendale netted two goals, Noah Demoranville also added a short-handed wrist shot that beat the Coyote goalie’s glove to the top corner.
Jake Demoranville tallied his first-ever youth hockey goal, by tucking in a backhand. Both Gladiator goalies played strong in net. Zack Pateakos earned his fourth shut-out of the season, due in part to the effort of Jared Westgate in eliminating a possible Coyote breakaway late in the game.
Bantams
The Bantam team kept the winning streak alive by defeating Pembroke Saturday morning 5-3. Gateway had control of the puck most of the game and showed some great passing and defense in not allowing Pembroke to cross over the blue line very often.
