Get a taste of the town
Event Date
MATTAPOISETT — Grab a fork and join the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club’s annual Taste the Town event on Tuesday, July 15 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The event will be under the Mattapoisett Lions Club’s Big White Tent in Shipyard Park. Participants can eat creations from local restaurants, roam the village area, and discover the historic wharves that are part of the Park.
This rain-or-shine event features many Mattapoisett dishes; including shrimp,
sliders, Cajun mac and cheese, pizza, crab rangoon, chicken fingers, strawberry
salad, kale soup, mini lobster rolls, coleslaw and more.
Seltzer drinks have been added to the drink selections. Participants are encouraged to come before 6:45 p.m. to get the best selections. Credit, debit, and paypal accepted.
The Showstoppers, a Mattapoisett youth singing group, will provide entertainment throughout the evening, so bring blankets, beach towels, and lawn chairs to enjoy a great selection of songs.
To avoid parking problems, there will be a free shuttle bus service from 4:30 to 7 p.m. between the parking lots at St. Anthony’s Church and the Mattapoisett Town Beach to and from Shipyard Park.
All proceeds from the Taste of the Town benefit the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club’s
Scholarship Fund, public programs, and community outreach.
